Former tourism secretary robbed in home invasion

For­mer tourism sec­re­tary Hilton Sandy was robbed dur­ing a home in­va­sion on Tues­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, five men broke in­to Sandy’s Ba­co­let Gar­dens home. The ex-politi­cian, who suf­fered a stroke in 2013, was not harmed dur­ing the or­deal.

Snr Supt Rod­hil Kirk said po­lice will do all in their pow­ers to bring the per­pe­tra­tors to jus­tice. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
