Homicide detectives have received advice from Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Roger Gaspard to charge a 23-year-old man with the murder of Valencia resident, 82-year-old James Le Cadre.
Police said Le Cadre's burnt remains were found on March 27, at Plantation Road, Valencia.
The suspect, who is from Benny Road, Valencia, was arrested shortly after.
Officers of the Region II Homicide Bureau met with the DPP on Monday when they received advice to charge the suspect.
