Charity golf tournament raises support for Shelter’s work with domestic violence survivors
Flow Trinidad has returned for a fifth consecutive year as the Platinum Sponsor of The Shelter for Battered Women and Children's Annual Charity Golf Tournament, continuing its support for programmes that assist women and children affected by domestic violence.
The annual tournament brings together corporate sponsors and supporters to raise funds for The Shelter's services, including emergency accommodation and counselling for survivors.
"At Flow, connecting people goes beyond technology," said Simone Martin-Sulgan, Vice President and General Manager, Flow Trinidad. "We believe businesses have a responsibility to help build stronger, safer communities. The Shelter provides hope and healing for women and children during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and we are honoured to continue supporting this important work."
Flow has supported The Shelter since 2020, including sponsoring its fundraising movie premiere earlier this year. The company said the partnership forms part of its wider community outreach and efforts to support initiatives addressing gender-based violence.
Established in 1987, The Shelter for Battered Women and Children provides a safe space for women and children experiencing domestic violence. In addition to emergency accommodation, it offers counselling and support services aimed at helping survivors rebuild their lives.
