Road closure on S.S. Erin Road

The Min­istry of Works and In­fra­struc­ture has ad­vised the pub­lic of a tem­po­rary road clo­sure along S.S. Erin Road at the 15.8 km mark, near Mo­ra Dam Trace and Syne Trace.

The Min­istry said the clo­sure is nec­es­sary to fa­cil­i­tate the emer­gency re­place­ment of a failed cylin­der cul­vert, along with as­so­ci­at­ed road­works.

The works are sched­uled for Sun­day 3 May 2026, be­tween 8 am and 4 pm.

Mo­torists are ad­vised to use Mo­ra Dam Trace and Syne Trace as al­ter­na­tive routes.

The Min­istry al­so is urg­ing mo­torists to pro­ceed with cau­tion, ob­serve all di­rec­tion­al sig­nage and bar­ri­ers, fol­low in­struc­tions from po­lice of­fi­cers or flag per­son­nel, re­main aware of heavy equip­ment op­er­at­ing in the area, and re­duce speed when ap­proach­ing and pass­ing through the work zone.

The Min­istry said it re­grets any in­con­ve­nience caused and thanked the pub­lic for its con­tin­ued co­op­er­a­tion.
