Teen held with pistol in East

A male teen was ar­rest­ed and a firearm and am­mu­ni­tion seized dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise in the East­ern Di­vi­sion on Sat­ur­day.

Po­lice said of­fi­cers of the Va­len­cia Po­lice Dis­trict con­duct­ed the Op­er­a­tion Steady Guard ex­er­cise be­tween 8 am and 10 am on May 16, dur­ing which they ar­rest­ed a teen from the area.

Of­fi­cers al­leged­ly found the teen in pos­ses­sion of a pis­tol and 10 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.

Snr Supt Pa­ponette, Supt Be­har­ry, ASP Rus­sell, In­sp (Ag) Harp­er and Sgt (Ag) Ram­per­sad co­or­di­nat­ed the ex­er­cise, which in­clud­ed of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force.
