CARIB Brewery (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited will transport specialised brewing equipment from the Port of Port-of-Spain to its Champs Fleurs facility on Sunday, and motorists are being warned to expect temporary traffic restrictions and delays along the route.

In a statement issued today, the company said the equipment was part of its ongoing investment in strengthening local production capabilities, improving manufacturing processes and enhancing operational efficiency.

The company said the oversized load is expected to move at a controlled, reduced speed, with support from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) to manage traffic and ensure the safe movement of the equipment.

CARIB Brewery said Sunday was selected to minimise disruption to commuters and other road users.

However, motorists and public transportation operators have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes where possible.

The transport is scheduled to begin at the Port of Port-of-Spain at 6 am, with the convoy expected to reach the Beetham Highway at about 10 am, the Priority Bus Route at 2 pm and the brewery at Champs Fleurs at approximately 4 pm.

The company cautioned that the times are estimates and may change depending on road and traffic conditions, operational requirements and the movement of other road users.

The designated route will include sections of the Priority Bus Route. Members of the public have been urged to exercise patience and caution when approaching the convoy, avoid attempting to overtake the equipment or convoy, and follow instructions from police officers and traffic-management personnel.

The equipment will be transported by Paramount Transport and Trading Company Limited, which CARIB Brewery described as an experienced partner in moving specialised and oversized loads.

The company said the two organisations had previously undertaken a similar operation in 2012, when large brewing tanks were transported to the brewery. That movement was completed successfully and without incident, it added
