CAL launches Tobago-Toronto flights; resumes Caracas service

Caribbean Air­lines is ex­pand­ing its re­gion­al and in­ter­na­tion­al net­work with the in­tro­duc­tion of di­rect flights be­tween To­ba­go and Toron­to, the re­sump­tion of com­mer­cial pas­sen­ger ser­vices to Cara­cas, Venezuela, and char­ter flights to Pana­ma.

In a me­dia re­lease on Fri­day, the air­line an­nounced that the new ser­vices would be­gin in Oc­to­ber, with ad­di­tion­al flights to Pana­ma sched­uled for the Christ­mas and Car­ni­val pe­ri­ods.

The ex­pan­sion in­cludes a week­ly non-stop ser­vice be­tween To­ba­go and Toron­to, Cana­da, be­gin­ning Oc­to­ber 25. The flights will op­er­ate on Sun­days, pro­vid­ing a di­rect con­nec­tion be­tween To­ba­go and one of Cana­da’s ma­jor in­ter­na­tion­al mar­kets.

The air­line said the ser­vice would sup­port fam­i­ly vis­its and tourism while strength­en­ing air con­nec­tiv­i­ty be­tween To­ba­go and Cana­da ahead of the peak win­ter trav­el sea­son.

The an­nounce­ment comes as the air­line seeks to pro­vide trav­ellers with more op­tions for leisure, busi­ness and fam­i­ly trips while sup­port­ing tourism and trade.

Caribbean Air­lines will al­so re­sume com­mer­cial pas­sen­ger flights be­tween Trinidad and Cara­cas from Oc­to­ber 31, restor­ing di­rect air con­nec­tiv­i­ty be­tween the two neigh­bour­ing coun­tries.

The air­line said the ser­vice would fa­cil­i­tate busi­ness trav­el and tourism, al­though it did not pro­vide de­tails on the fre­quen­cy of the Cara­cas flights.

Mean­while, trav­ellers will have ad­di­tion­al op­tions for reach­ing Pana­ma dur­ing the busy Christ­mas and Car­ni­val sea­sons, with Caribbean Air­lines set to op­er­ate a se­ries of char­ter flights be­tween Trinidad and Pana­ma from De­cem­ber 1 to Feb­ru­ary 9, 2027.

The char­ter flights will op­er­ate on se­lect­ed Tues­days and Fri­days, pro­vid­ing ad­di­tion­al ca­pac­i­ty dur­ing the fes­tive pe­ri­od.

The air­line said the ser­vices were in­tend­ed to of­fer greater trav­el flex­i­bil­i­ty while sup­port­ing tourism and trade be­tween Trinidad and Pana­ma.

The ex­pan­sion adds to Caribbean Air­lines’ re­gion­al and in­ter­na­tion­al op­er­a­tions as it seeks to strength­en con­nec­tiv­i­ty for pas­sen­gers trav­el­ling be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go, the Caribbean and in­ter­na­tion­al des­ti­na­tions.

The air­line has en­cour­aged cus­tomers to fol­low its of­fi­cial com­mu­ni­ca­tion chan­nels for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion on flight sched­ules, fares and book­ing avail­abil­i­ty.

The new ser­vices are ex­pect­ed to pro­vide ad­di­tion­al trav­el op­tions for pas­sen­gers ahead of the up­com­ing win­ter hol­i­day sea­son and the 2027 Car­ni­val pe­ri­od.
