Courier dragged out of car; robbed in Brazil Village

A de­liv­ery­woman was pulled from her car and gagged with scotch tape when she vis­it­ed Brazil Vil­lage to de­liv­er a pack­age on Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice said the woman drove to So­ri­ah Branch Trace Ex­ten­sion, at around 1.40 pm to de­liv­er a pack­age to a cus­tomer known on­ly as 'Si­mon,' when she no­ticed a man at the side of the road stop­ping her.

The man iden­ti­fied him­self as the cus­tomer, how­ev­er while speak­ing with him, two oth­er men ran out of bush­es at the side of the road and pulled her out of her car, forc­ing her in­to near­by bush­es, plac­ing tape over her mouth.

Two of the ban­dits got in her blue Toy­ota Corol­la, which con­tained her purse, cell­phone, cash and pack­ages, and drove off, while the third ban­dit kept watch over the couri­er be­fore event­ful­ly flee­ing on foot.

Po­lice were called in and of­fi­cers of the North­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and San Raphael Mo­bile Pa­trol vis­it­ed the scene.

Of­fi­cers of the Ari­ma CID are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
