An alleged gold chain thief was apprehended by a citizen shortly after he attacked a victim in San Fernando on Thursday.
Officers Ag Cpl Spencer and WPC Pierre were on mobile patrol around 2:10 pm when they were alerted about an incident nearby. When they arrived near the Customs House, they saw the suspect lying on the ground being detained by a man shortly after he allegedly snatched a $9,000 gold chain from the victim.
