Plans to merge domestic and international departure processing at the Piarco International Airport have been postponed until further notice.
The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago had intended to redirect all domestic departing passengers, including those travelling to Tobago, from the ground-floor lounge to a unified gate system in the international departure area from today.
Under the planned change, domestic passengers would have used a centralised, expanded security checkpoint shared with international travellers.
However, the Authority said the redirection of domestic traffic to international checkpoints will no longer proceed as scheduled.
