Two men have appeared in court charged with the murders of two men following an altercation in Fyzabad last month.
Business owner Victor Delwyn and Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force soldier Shandon Woodley, both of Fyzabad, appeared before Master Ambrose Persadsingh in the South Criminal Court on Friday.
They were charged with the murders of Richard Mc David and Anslem Nicholas, who died at the Siparia Health Facility on August 21 after they were allegedly injured during an altercation with a group of men in Fyzabad.
Two male suspects were arrested on September 9 in connection with the deaths.
Delwyn and Woodley were charged by Corporal Griffith of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region Three, on September 10, following advice from Acting Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Anju Bhola.
The investigations were supervised by Superintendent Steve Persad and Inspector Teeluck, with assistance from officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region Three.
The matter was adjourned to October 30.
