Three teenagers have been arrested after allegedly robbing and assaulting another group of teenagers along Lopinot Road, Arouca.
Police reported that at around 7.35 pm on Monday, three teenage victims were walking along the road when they were accosted by three men.
The victims were reportedly forced to kneel and beaten before being robbed of several items, including a silver Motorola cellphone with a cracked screen, a black wallet containing $120 and identification cards, a ZTE cellphone, a bag containing personal documents and cards along with $140, and an iPhone 11 valued at $1,500.
Police said that after the robbery, one of the suspects allegedly placed his hand inside the blouse of one of the victims and repeatedly grabbed her breasts before fleeing.
The suspects, all from Lopinot Road, Arouca, include two 18-year-olds, one of whom was known to the victims, and a 17-year-old. They were later arrested.
