Teens arrested after robbery and assault of group

Three teenagers have been ar­rest­ed af­ter al­leged­ly rob­bing and as­sault­ing an­oth­er group of teenagers along Lopinot Road, Arou­ca.

Po­lice re­port­ed that at around 7.35 pm on Mon­day, three teenage vic­tims were walk­ing along the road when they were ac­cost­ed by three men.

The vic­tims were re­port­ed­ly forced to kneel and beat­en be­fore be­ing robbed of sev­er­al items, in­clud­ing a sil­ver Mo­toro­la cell­phone with a cracked screen, a black wal­let con­tain­ing $120 and iden­ti­fi­ca­tion cards, a ZTE cell­phone, a bag con­tain­ing per­son­al doc­u­ments and cards along with $140, and an iPhone 11 val­ued at $1,500.

Po­lice said that af­ter the rob­bery, one of the sus­pects al­leged­ly placed his hand in­side the blouse of one of the vic­tims and re­peat­ed­ly grabbed her breasts be­fore flee­ing.

The sus­pects, all from Lopinot Road, Arou­ca, in­clude two 18-year-olds, one of whom was known to the vic­tims, and a 17-year-old. They were lat­er ar­rest­ed.
