Health Ministry warns against fake school closure memo

The Min­istry of Health is warn­ing mem­bers of the pub­lic not to share a fake memo cir­cu­lat­ing on­line, which false­ly claims to an­nounce the tem­po­rary clo­sure of schools.

In a state­ment, the min­istry said the memo, which pur­ports to come from the Min­istry of Health, is fake and does not rep­re­sent any of­fi­cial com­mu­ni­ca­tion from the min­istry.

The min­istry urged mem­bers of the pub­lic not to dis­sem­i­nate the in­ac­cu­rate in­for­ma­tion.

It al­so ad­vised peo­ple seek­ing ver­i­fied up­dates to vis­it the min­istry’s of­fi­cial web­site and so­cial me­dia plat­forms for ac­cu­rate in­for­ma­tion.
