The Coast Guard says laboratory analysis has confirmed that 440.20 kilogrammes of cocaine seized by the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in the northern Gulf of Paria is worth an estimated TT$204.5 million on the street.
The cocaine was found in 394 sealed packages during a maritime operation in the northern region of the Gulf of Paria.
The Coast Guard had intercepted a pirogue carrying four men and the packages on Monday.
The vessel was escorted to Coast Guard Headquarters at Staubles Bay, Chaguaramas, where further searches were conducted.
The four men, the packages and the vessel were handed over to law enforcement authorities for further processing.
The Coast Guard said the exhibits have since been processed in accordance with established evidential procedures.
