A 46-year-old businessman was stabbed to death after getting into an argument with a woman he was in a relationship with at her Chaguanas home on Sunday night.
Police said Gregory Reece went to the woman's Oak Avenue, Woodford Garden, apartment sometime before 7 pm on Sunday night and got into an argument with her.
During the argument, Reece was stabbed in his chest.
Residents heard the commotion and called the police and an ambulance, as officers from the Chaguanas CID were on patrol nearby at the time.
On reaching the area, police met Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who said Reece showed no signs of life.
A district medical officer was called in who declared Reece dead at the scene.
A 25-year-old woman has been arrested and remained in custody up to Monday morning.
Reece was the manager of Trinidad and Tobago Dental.
In 2017 Reece was charged with four counts of uttering a forged valuable security and two counts of obtaining over $1.4 million by false pretences.
