A PTSC passenger bus caught fire at the commission’s Point Fortin compound on Monday, causing an estimated $150,000 in damage.
No one was injured.
The fire was detected around 2.45 pm after workers noticed smoke coming from the dashboard area, followed by flames.
The bus, valued at $1.2 million, sustained damage to its interior.
Investigators were told the vehicle was parked with its engine idling when the fire started. It had also undergone repairs recently.
Fire officials said the engine was not damaged, and the blaze was contained to the bus.
