Saddle Road cleared after fallen tree

UP­DATE: Sad­dle Road, San­ta Cruz, has been cleared and is now pass­able fol­low­ing the re­moval of a fall­en tree that blocked the road­way ear­li­er to­day.

The tree was up­root­ed dur­ing heavy rain­fall and fell on­to elec­tric­i­ty in­fra­struc­ture, dam­ag­ing two util­i­ty poles and caus­ing pow­er out­ages in sur­round­ing ar­eas.

T&TEC crews con­tin­ue restora­tion work, with pow­er sup­ply be­ing re­stored to af­fect­ed cus­tomers in New Pax Vale, Holo­lo Road and Jag­gan Vil­lage.
