A Trinidadian man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in Mt St George, Tobago, hours after her body was discovered at her home today.
Police said the 41-year-old man, of South Oropouche, was held around 2.15 pm after disembarking the Galleons Passage at the Port of Spain ferry terminal.
The victim, identified as MTS employee Neisha Roberts, was found stabbed to death in the bathroom of her home by a relative around 7 am.
A District Medical Officer visited the scene and pronounced her dead around 9.45 am.
Police believe the suspect travelled from Tobago to Trinidad following the killing.
The homicide is Tobago's seventh murder for 2026. Police investigations are continuing.
