Tobago murder suspect held on inter island ferry

A Trinida­di­an man has been ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the mur­der of a woman in Mt St George, To­ba­go, hours af­ter her body was dis­cov­ered at her home to­day.

Po­lice said the 41-year-old man, of South Oropouche, was held around 2.15 pm af­ter dis­em­bark­ing the Galleons Pas­sage at the Port of Spain fer­ry ter­mi­nal.

The vic­tim, iden­ti­fied as MTS em­ploy­ee Neisha Roberts, was found stabbed to death in the bath­room of her home by a rel­a­tive around 7 am.

A Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer vis­it­ed the scene and pro­nounced her dead around 9.45 am.

Po­lice be­lieve the sus­pect trav­elled from To­ba­go to Trinidad fol­low­ing the killing.

The homi­cide is To­ba­go's sev­enth mur­der for 2026. Po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
