Anna-Lisa PaulShooting victim Kaia Sealy was arrested minutes after landing at the Piarco International Airport during the wee hours today.
Sealy's attorney Fayola Sandy was left stunned after arriving at the airport to find Sealy, who was in the United States for medical treatment, had been taken into custody by police officers and led out the back of Piarco.
Sealy, who is facing several charges in connection with the police-involved shooting death of her boyfriend Joshua Samaroo, had been travelling in the company of her mother, who told Sandy the meeting with officers had been cordial.
Sandy said Sealy's mother was firm the officers had not acted in an aggressive manner towards Sealy.
Sealy was later taken to the Arouca Police Station as this had the best facilities to accommodate her.
