The Ministry of Public Utilities has reported that 30,709 pipeline leaks were repaired across Trinidad and Tobago between April 2025 and April 2026.
In a social media post, Minister of Public Utilities Barry Padarath said the repairs were carried out by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) and its frontline teams as part of efforts to improve water service delivery and strengthen infrastructure nationwide.
According to the figures released, the South West district recorded the highest number of repairs with 6,222 leaks fixed, followed by the North West with 5,975 and Central with 5,935.
The North East district accounted for 4,683 repairs, while 4,270 leaks were repaired in the South East district. In Tobago, WASA crews repaired 3,624 pipeline leaks during the period.
Padarath said the repairs represented more than routine maintenance, describing them as part of the Government's commitment to improving service reliability, reducing water loss and strengthening the country's water infrastructure.
He added that the Ministry and WASA continue to work across Trinidad and Tobago to improve service delivery for citizens.
