Japan offers postgraduate scholarships to T&T nationals

Na­tion­als of Trinidad and To­ba­go can pur­sue post­grad­u­ate stud­ies in Japan through a ful­ly fund­ed gov­ern­ment schol­ar­ship.

The Em­bassy of Japan in Trinidad and To­ba­go is invit­ing ap­pli­ca­tions for the 2027 Japan­ese Gov­ern­ment-fund­ed Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion, Cul­ture, Sports, Sci­ence and Tech­nol­o­gy (MEXT) Schol­ar­ship Pro­gramme.

It was con­firmed via a press re­lease by the Em­bassy:

“The Em­bassy is ac­cept­ing ap­pli­ca­tions from in­di­vid­u­als seek­ing to pur­sue a mas­ter’s de­gree or high­er. Suc­cess­ful ap­pli­cants will re­ceive cov­er­age of en­trance ex­am­i­na­tion fees, ad­mis­sion fees and tu­ition fees, a month­ly stipend, and round-trip re­turn be­tween Japan and their home coun­try.”

Ap­pli­cants must be un­der 35 and hold an un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree in a rel­e­vant field. Pro­grammes must fall with­in the hu­man­i­ties or nat­ur­al sci­ences.
