Drive-by shooting kills man in Woodbrook

A dri­ve-by shoot­ing along Ari­api­ta Av­enue in Wood­brook on Sun­day night has claimed the life of one man.

He has been iden­ti­fied as Je­lani George, 28, of Hi­ron­delle Street in Mor­vant.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred around 8:50 pm as George sat in a sil­ver Hyundai Cre­ta parked be­tween Fitt and Mur­ray Streets.

The shoot­ing sent late-night cus­tomers flee­ing. While there have been claims that two oth­er peo­ple were in­jured, po­lice say no such re­ports have been re­ceived.
