Vincentian soca artiste to face trial on allegedly assaulting teenage girls
A 35-year-old soca artiste from St Vincent and the Grenadines is scheduled to return to court on January 13 next year, on charges of allegedly indecently assaulting two underage girls.
The artiste, Grabba Finesse, whose real name is Keith Charles, appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court where the prosecutors allege that he indecently assaulted a 13-year-old girl by rubbing her right thigh with his hands. He also was charged with indecently assaulting a 15-year-old girl by rubbing her right thigh with his hands.
Charles is alleged to have committed the offences between August 29 and November 19, 2025. He pleaded not guilty to both charges and was granted composite bail of EC$5,000 (One EC dollar=US$0.37 cents) with one surety.
The magistrate ordered that the artiste must surrender his travel document and to obtain the court’s permission to leave the country. The magistrate also ordered that stop notices be posted at ports of entry and exit, and that the accused man report to the police in Layou twice weekly.
The matter has been transferred to the Family Court for in-camera hearings. —KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent (CMC)
