Two men have died and three others were injured following a shooting in Malick on Friday afternoon.
Reports indicate that residents of Seventh Avenue heard several gunshots shortly after 1 pm. When they checked the area, they found five men lying near a pink house along the roadway.
The victims had sustained gunshot wounds, with two suffering critical injuries. Emergency responders and police officers were called to the scene and all five men were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for treatment.
Despite efforts by medical staff, two of the victims later died.
Up to late Friday, investigators had not released the identities of the deceased, and the motive for the shooting remained unclear.
