Residents of Rich Plain Road in Diego Martin may experience brief relief this Christmas season, as the Diego Martin Borough Corporation has temporarily patched several potholes along the roadway. CNC3 News observed the work being carried out earlier this morning.

A representative from the Borough explained that they had been instructed to patch three potholes in the area. However, one of the potholes contained too much water, requiring assistance from the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) to complete the repairs.

The representative made it clear that the repairs are temporary and could not say how long they will last. They also committed to inspecting the road for additional areas that may need temporary fixes.

In September, CNC3 News highlighted the concerns of residents, after which WASA promised to complete repairs by September 30. However, work only began today. Two residents spoke with CNC3 News and expressed dissatisfaction with the temporary repairs. “Two rain and that wash out,” one resident commented, suggesting the fixes may not endure.
