Teen among two held for Princes Town robbery

A 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, were ar­rest­ed and are ex­pect­ed to be charged af­ter they al­leged­ly stole a $5,000 gold bracelet from a busi­ness­woman in Princes Town on Wednes­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the woman was at her busi­ness place on the cor­ner of the Na­pari­ma-Ma­yaro Road and the Iere Vil­lage Branch Road, when she was con­front­ed by two men.

The men re­port­ed­ly snatched her bracelet and ran away.

Of­fi­cers of the Princes Town Mu­nic­i­pal Po­lice, to­geth­er with the Princes Town CID were called in and fol­lowed in­for­ma­tion which led to the ar­rest of both sus­pects on the Co­r­i­al Road.

Po­lice said the gold bracelet was found on one of the sus­pects.

Of­fi­cers took the teen and man to the Prince Town Po­lice Sta­tion.

The in­ves­ti­ga­tion op­er­a­tion that led to the ar­rest of both sus­pects was ini­ti­at­ed by act­ing Sgt Ali, with sup­port from act­ing Cpl Pa­ri­man and WPC Placide-Sam­bury, of the Mu­nic­i­pal Po­lice Sta­tion with as­sis­tance from PCs Har­ry and Sir­jus­ingh the Princes Town Po­lice Sta­tion.
