A 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, were arrested and are expected to be charged after they allegedly stole a $5,000 gold bracelet from a businesswoman in Princes Town on Wednesday morning.
Police said the woman was at her business place on the corner of the Naparima-Mayaro Road and the Iere Village Branch Road, when she was confronted by two men.
The men reportedly snatched her bracelet and ran away.
Officers of the Princes Town Municipal Police, together with the Princes Town CID were called in and followed information which led to the arrest of both suspects on the Corial Road.
Police said the gold bracelet was found on one of the suspects.
Officers took the teen and man to the Prince Town Police Station.
The investigation operation that led to the arrest of both suspects was initiated by acting Sgt Ali, with support from acting Cpl Pariman and WPC Placide-Sambury, of the Municipal Police Station with assistance from PCs Harry and Sirjusingh the Princes Town Police Station.
