A 23-year-old man has appeared before the High Court charged with the murder of 44-year-old Tricia Marajh.
Nelijah Bain, a sales assistant of Arima, also faces charges of possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.
He appeared before Master Rehanna Hosein in the North Criminal Court on Thursday. A sufficiency hearing has been set for October 12.
Marajh, of St Joseph, was shot and killed on April 8.
Police said she was lured outside her Riverside Road home in Curepe after receiving a call from someone claiming to be selling a vehicle. When she stepped outside, a gunman exited a car and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
A relative who heard the gunshots found her wounded and took her to hospital, where she later died.
Bain was arrested on April 16 in Arima by officers of the Criminal Investigations Department and later charged following advice from Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard.
The investigation was carried out by the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region Two.
