Masked bandits target pensioners in home invasion

Two fe­male pen­sion­ers were robbed by bal­a­cla­va-clad ban­dits dur­ing a home in­va­sion in Princes Town on Wednes­day night.

Po­lice said that around 9:20 pm, a 67-year-old woman was down­stairs at her home when three men, two armed with guns and one with a cut­lass, con­front­ed her.

The sus­pects ran­sacked the area and stole $130 and a Sam­sung A05 cell­phone. One ban­dit re­mained down­stairs with the vic­tim while the oth­er two went up­stairs and robbed an­oth­er pen­sion­er, 77, of $4,050, a white gold Span­ish link chain with an "S" pen­dant and a Sam­sung A26 cell­phone.

The sus­pects es­caped through bush­es be­hind the house.

PC Den­nis and of­fi­cers from the Princes Town CID vis­it­ed the scene.
