Machel Montano claims 12th Road March title

Machel Mon­tano has made his­to­ry again, cap­tur­ing the 2026 Road March ti­tle with En­core and ex­tend­ing his record to 12 wins, the most by any artiste in Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Pres­i­dent of the Trin­ba­go Uni­fied Ca­lyp­so­ni­ans' Or­gan­i­sa­tion Ains­ley King an­nounced the of­fi­cial re­sults this morn­ing, con­firm­ing Mon­tano’s vic­to­ry in the Na­tion­al Tu­co Road March Com­pe­ti­tion af­ter judges record­ed En­core 171 times at des­ig­nat­ed judg­ing points.

De­liv­er­ing the re­sults, King said: “In third place we have Ian Al­varez, Bun­ji Gar­lin, Song, Road­man, played 97 times. In sec­ond place of the Tu­co Na­tion­al Road March for 2026 is Aaron St. Louis, Voice, Car Be­have, played 127 times. And ladies and gen­tle­men, our Road March for 2026 in the Na­tion­al Tu­co Road March Com­pe­ti­tion is Mar­shall Mon­tano, En­core, played 171 times.”

Bun­ji Gar­lin placed third with Road­man, which of­fi­cials record­ed 97 times. Voice se­cured sec­ond place with Car Be­have, played 127 times.

Mon­tano’s win ce­ments his po­si­tion as the most suc­cess­ful Road March cham­pi­on in the com­pe­ti­tion’s his­to­ry.
