Machel Montano has made history again, capturing the 2026 Road March title with Encore and extending his record to 12 wins, the most by any artiste in Trinidad and Tobago.
President of the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians' Organisation Ainsley King announced the official results this morning, confirming Montano’s victory in the National Tuco Road March Competition after judges recorded Encore 171 times at designated judging points.
Delivering the results, King said: “In third place we have Ian Alvarez, Bunji Garlin, Song, Roadman, played 97 times. In second place of the Tuco National Road March for 2026 is Aaron St. Louis, Voice, Car Behave, played 127 times. And ladies and gentlemen, our Road March for 2026 in the National Tuco Road March Competition is Marshall Montano, Encore, played 171 times.”
Bunji Garlin placed third with Roadman, which officials recorded 97 times. Voice secured second place with Car Behave, played 127 times.
Montano’s win cements his position as the most successful Road March champion in the competition’s history.
