The Lost Tribe has secured a clean sweep of the major Carnival 2026 titles, adding the Uptown Carnival Improvement Committee Band of the Year (Large) award to its previous National Carnival Commission and Downtown victories.
Presenting “Island Circus”, The Lost Tribe topped the UCIC Large Band category with 233 points. Trinidad All Stars placed second with “Sailors Ashore In Japan” on 231 points, while Paparazzi finished third with “Elope-Destination I Do” on 219 points.
In the Medium Band category, Image Nation took first place with “Kaiso Kaiso” (222 points), followed by Exousia’s “Secrets of Tanchico” (220 points) and K2K Alliance & Partners’ “Pollen Houses” (217 points). Ombre Mas and Chapala Mas rounded out the top five.
Vibez Mas captured the Small Band title with ‘Traditionally Rogue”, scoring 226 points. AWE Carnival placed second, followed by Antourage Productions in third. Adrenaline City and The Original Jab Jab ended in a tie for fifth place.
In the Mini Band category, Hot Stuff Promotions won with “Colours of Gems & Jewels” (213 points), ahead of Belmont Exotic Stylish Sailors and Simply Cultural.
The UCIC reported that more than 100 bands passed through the Piccadilly Greens judging point between Carnival Sunday and Carnival Tuesday. Secretary Agnes Raghoobarsingh described the celebrations as incident-free and successful. The committee has suggested that Piccadilly Greens be made a compulsory judging point for future festivities.
The Uptown results mirror the dominant run by The Lost Tribe and K2K Alliance & Partners across Port of Spain. Earlier, The Lost Tribe secured the Downtown Carnival Committee Large Band title, ahead of RC Mas Band’s “The Web We Weave” and Trinidad All Stars.
K2K Alliance & Partners topped the Downtown Medium Band category with “Pollen Houses”, followed by Kinetic Mas and Image Nation. In the Downtown Small Band category, Tribal Connection Cultural Promotions claimed first place with “Thank You For the Years of More Mas Than Arse”, with The Original Jab Jab and Vibez Mas taking second and third respectively.
