Interim water schedule set for Point Fortin

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) has an­nounced an in­ter­im wa­ter sup­ply sched­ule for Point Fortin fol­low­ing an un­planned ser­vice in­ter­rup­tion caused by emer­gency re­pairs at the Point Fortin De­sali­na­tion Plant.

In a no­tice dat­ed Oc­to­ber 8, WASA said the af­fect­ed ar­eas would be placed on a tem­po­rary wa­ter sched­ule, with sup­ply sched­uled be­tween 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. on spec­i­fied dates.

The sched­ule cov­ers sev­er­al com­mu­ni­ties, with some ar­eas sched­uled to re­ceive wa­ter overnight be­tween Oc­to­ber 8 and Oc­to­ber 14.

Un­der the in­ter­im arrange­ment, Point Fortin Prop­er, Self Help, New­lands, Ma­haica, Clifton Hill, Egypt Vil­lage, Point Ligoure, Hol­ly­wood, G Street, Co­conut Trace, Ibis Street, Vance Riv­er and Reid Road are sched­uled to re­ceive wa­ter from 6 p.m. on Oc­to­ber 8 to 6 a.m. on Oc­to­ber 9.

Seav­iew, Low­er War­den Road, E Street, Ram­per­sad Street, Cap De Ville, New Vil­lage, Salazar Trace, Gon­za­les and Har­ri­man Park are sched­uled for sup­ply from 6 p.m. on Oc­to­ber 9 to 6 a.m. on Oc­to­ber 10.

Cochrane, Reser­voir Hill, Par­ry­lands, Coun­try Trace, Os­bourne Street, Roberts Street and Soomai Trace are sched­uled to re­ceive wa­ter from 6 p.m. on Oc­to­ber 10 to 6 a.m. on Oc­to­ber 11.

South­ern Gar­dens, Spring Trace and Ruth Brown are sched­uled for sup­ply from 6 p.m. on Oc­to­ber 11 to 6 a.m. on Oc­to­ber 12.

Up­per War­den Road, Leon Street, Hawke Av­enue, Pil­grim Street and Boodoo Street Ex­ten­sion are sched­uled to re­ceive wa­ter from 6 p.m. on Oc­to­ber 12 to 6 a.m. on Oc­to­ber 13.

E Street Ex­ten­sion, Stanis­claus Cir­cu­lar, John Dri­ve, Ceme­tery Block Road and Sama­roo Street are sched­uled for sup­ply from 10 p.m. on Oc­to­ber 13 to 6 a.m. on Oc­to­ber 14. Gre­go­ry Street, Wil­son Street, Munroe Road, Coun­try Trace Ex­ten­sion, Richards Dri­ve, Lewis Lane and Lot Ten Vil­lage are al­so sched­uled for that pe­ri­od.

WASA list­ed sev­er­al ad­di­tion­al com­mu­ni­ties as af­fect­ed by the in­ter­rup­tion, in­clud­ing Low­er Fan­ny Vil­lage, Coun­try Trace Ex­ten­sion, Richards Dri­ve, Lewis Lane, Cap De Ville, Salazar Trace, Up­per War­den Road, Spring Trace, Hawke Av­enue, Leon Street, Boodoo Street Ex­ten­sion, Pil­grim Street, Reser­voir Hill, Gon­za­les, Cochrane, Par­ry­lands, Vance Riv­er and Lot Ten Vil­lage.

The au­thor­i­ty said the es­ti­mat­ed restora­tion arrange­ment was a tem­po­rary wa­ter sched­ule and apol­o­gised for the in­con­ve­nience caused.
