Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Earl Elie has been of­fi­cial­ly ap­point­ed As­sis­tant Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice and will as­sume com­mand of the To­ba­go Po­lice Di­vi­sion on De­cem­ber 23.

He takes over from ACP Os­wain Subero, who pro­ceed­ed on leave ear­li­er this month. The di­vi­sion was tem­porar­i­ly led by ACP Michael Pierre dur­ing the tran­si­tion.

El­lie con­firmed to Guardian Me­dia that he has re­ceived for­mal no­tice of his pro­mo­tion. “I am pre­pared to serve at this high­er lev­el with pro­fes­sion­al­ism and com­mit­ment,” he said.

He added that his pri­or­i­ty will be strength­en­ing op­er­a­tions, sup­port­ing of­fi­cers, and deep­en­ing com­mu­ni­ty en­gage­ment across To­ba­go.
