A central man managed to escape to safety over the weekend, after he was abducted by two men he reportedly knew.

Police said he was taken by two men known to him, after they kicked open the front door and entered his residence. One of the men was armed with a long metal pipe. They grabbed Rampersad from his bed, dragged him out of the house, and forced him into a waiting vehicle, which then sped off in a northerly direction along Seventh Street, Dow Village, California.
