Urgent appeal to locate missing Point Fortin teenager

The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) is ap­peal­ing to the pub­lic for as­sis­tance in lo­cat­ing 16-year-old Tia Ram­sey, who was re­port­ed miss­ing on Mon­day.

Ac­cord­ing to a me­dia re­lease is­sued by the TTPS, Tia Ram­sey, of Point Fortin, was last seen on Mon­day. Po­lice said a miss­ing per­son re­port was made at the Point Fortin Po­lice Sta­tion lat­er that same day.

Au­thor­i­ties de­scribed Tia Ram­sey as be­ing of African de­scent, ap­prox­i­mate­ly five feet, six inch­es tall, with a slim build and black braid­ed hair.

Po­lice said she was last seen dressed in a cam­ou­flage jumper suit.

The TTPS is urg­ing any­one who may have seen Tia Ram­sey or has in­for­ma­tion that could as­sist in­ves­ti­ga­tors to come for­ward as ef­forts con­tin­ue to lo­cate the teenag­er.

Mem­bers of the pub­lic with rel­e­vant in­for­ma­tion are en­cour­aged to con­tact the Point Fortin Po­lice Sta­tion at 648-0689. In­for­ma­tion al­so can be shared anony­mous­ly through 800-TIPS.

Per­sons may al­so con­tact po­lice emer­gency lines at 555, 999 or 911, or re­port in­for­ma­tion to any po­lice sta­tion.

The po­lice re­mind­ed cit­i­zens that in­for­ma­tion from the pub­lic can play an im­por­tant role in lo­cat­ing miss­ing per­sons and as­sist­ing on­go­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.

Any­one who be­lieves they may have seen Tia Ram­sey is en­cour­aged to reach out im­me­di­ate­ly.
