The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has temporarily opened the Priority Bus Route to private motorists in response to today’s transportation challenges.
The ministry announced that light motor vehicles will be allowed to use both the eastbound and westbound lanes of the Priority Bus Route between Arima and Port of Spain from 2 pm today until 11.59 pm.
Motorists using the route have been advised to obey all traffic signs and comply with instructions from police officers stationed along the corridor.
The ministry is also urging drivers to exercise caution and pay close attention while travelling on the route.
