Man shot by sister’s boyfriend in Curepe

An ar­gu­ment end­ed with the wound­ing of a 54-year-old man in Curepe on Fri­day night.

Po­lice said the man got in­to an al­ter­ca­tion with his sis­ter's boyfriend who shot him in his chest on Ab­dool Lane, off the South­ern Main Road, af­ter 10 pm.

Po­lice said the sus­pect got in­to a white Toy­ota Aqua that was parked near­by and drove off.

Po­lice said the wound­ed man fell in a drain and dam­aged a wa­ter pipeline caus­ing the wa­ter to spray around him.

Po­lice took the wound­ed man to hos­pi­tal where he was treat­ed and list­ed as be­ing in sta­ble con­di­tion.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors found a gun be­lieved to have been used by the at­tack­er and sev­er­al spent shells at the scene.
