Trinidad and Tobago Red Force has beaten the Guyana Harpy Eagles by 141 runs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, to lift the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Championship.

In breaking a 20-year drought in this format, T&T also loosens Guyana's monopoly on regional cricket's four-day competition, with the Harpy Eagles having won the last three tournaments.

The Red Force, who started the fourth and final day on 265 for 8 and a second innings lead of 278, eventually were dismissed for 267, with Evin Lewis contributing 122.

Set 281 to win in almost three full sessions, the Harpy Eagles were bowled out for 139, with only top-order batsman Kevlon Anderson able to provide any meaningful resistance in a knock of 41 from 68 deliveries.

T&T's four-pronged pace attack was once again in ripping form and accounted for all 10 Guyana wickets to fall on Day Four. Jayden Seales led the charge with three for 39 from 11 overs, while Terrence Hinds claimed three for 20 from seven overs. They were well supported by Anderson Phillip (2 for 63) and Joshua James (2 for 12).
