The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service officially relaunched the TTPrS NEC QUEEN today, restoring one of the key marine vessels used to transport officers, inmates, supplies and other personnel to and from the Carrera Convict Prison.

The relaunch ceremony at Harts Cut Bay was attended by Carlos Corraspe, Wilson Henderson Jr., members of the Prison Service executive and representatives of the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard.

Corraspe said dependable transportation to the island facility was critical to the Prison Service’s daily operations, security and efficiency. He said the vessel ensures officers can safely perform their duties while maintaining consistent access to the institution.

Henderson commended the collaborative efforts behind the vessel’s relaunch and said the Ministry remained committed to strengthening operational support within the national security sector.

The Coast Guard also was recognised for its continued partnership in maritime operations supporting the Prison Service.
