TTMA mourns former president Wayne Yip Choy

The Board of Di­rec­tors and Sec­re­tari­at of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Man­u­fac­tur­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion (TTMA) is mourn­ing the death of for­mer Pres­i­dent Wayne Yip Choy.

The as­so­ci­a­tion said Wayne Yip Choy served as Pres­i­dent and con­tributed to the man­u­fac­tur­ing sec­tor in Trinidad and To­ba­go. It stat­ed that dur­ing his tenure, he sup­port­ed man­u­fac­tur­ers and worked with mem­bers of the pri­vate sec­tor.

The TTMA said Wayne Yip Choy al­so served the busi­ness com­mu­ni­ty in oth­er roles. It not­ed that he worked with col­leagues and peers across the sec­tor and as­sist­ed oth­ers through men­tor­ship.

The as­so­ci­a­tion said his work con­tributed to the de­vel­op­ment of the man­u­fac­tur­ing sec­tor and the op­er­a­tions of the TTMA. It stat­ed that his lead­er­ship role in­clud­ed rep­re­sent­ing the as­so­ci­a­tion and en­gag­ing stake­hold­ers.

It ex­tend­ed con­do­lences to the fam­i­ly and friends of Wayne Yip Choy and to those who worked with him. It said it stands with them dur­ing this pe­ri­od.

The as­so­ci­a­tion al­so en­cour­aged per­sons who need sup­port to reach out to in­di­vid­u­als or pro­fes­sion­al ser­vices.

The TTMA said Wayne Yip Choy’s con­tri­bu­tions to the as­so­ci­a­tion and the man­u­fac­tur­ing sec­tor will re­main part of its his­to­ry. It stat­ed that his ser­vice and role in the or­gan­i­sa­tion will be recog­nised.

It said it will con­tin­ue its work with mem­bers and stake­hold­ers in the man­u­fac­tur­ing sec­tor.
