Couva Carnival queen pageant offers over $50,000 in prizes

More than $50,000 in cash and prizes will be award­ed when the Cou­va Car­ni­val Com­mit­tee stages its an­nu­al queen pageant on Valen­tine’s Day 2026.

The six con­tes­tants were for­mal­ly sashed on Fri­day at the au­di­to­ri­um of the Cou­va Point Lisas Cham­ber of Com­merce.

Car­ni­val Com­mit­tee chair­man Ram­c­hand Ra­jbal Maraj said the pageant re­mains one of the pre­mier events on the Cou­va Car­ni­val cal­en­dar and will fea­ture con­tes­tants com­pet­ing in a tal­ent seg­ment, evening gown mod­el­ling and the pre­sen­ta­tion of Car­ni­val cos­tumes.

The show is free to the pub­lic and will be held at the Cou­va Pub­lic Car Park
