Two held after 85 marijuana plants found

Two men were ar­rest­ed af­ter po­lice found 85 mar­i­jua­na plants dur­ing a late-night an­ti-crime op­er­a­tion in Arou­ca.

Po­lice said that be­tween 10 pm on March 9 and 2 am on March 10, of­fi­cers car­ried out an op­er­a­tion in the North­ern Di­vi­sion un­der the State of Emer­gency Pow­ers Reg­u­la­tions 2026.

Dur­ing the ex­er­cise, of­fi­cers searched two homes at LP 28 Dun­der Hill Road, Arou­ca, where the mar­i­jua­na plants were dis­cov­ered.

A 35-year- old man of the same ad­dress was held af­ter of­fi­cers al­leged­ly found 54 mar­i­jua­na plants.

A 31-year-old man al­so was ar­rest­ed af­ter of­fi­cers al­leged­ly found 31 mar­i­jua­na plants.
