The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has renewed its partnership with the National Congress of Incorporated Spiritual Baptist Organisations of Trinidad and Tobago (NCOISBOTT) to support crime prevention efforts.

Members of NCOISBOTT met with Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro on March 25, 2026, at the Police Administration Building, Port of Spain, to reaffirm their collaboration.

Both parties agreed to establish a joint Working Council to coordinate crime prevention initiatives across the ten police divisions.

Between 2023 and 2025, NCOISBOTT and the TTPS hosted National Open-Air Prayer Service Missions in all divisions. Activities also extended to correctional facilities with focus on rehabilitation.

The partnership will continue with community activities including prayer services, marches and processions. These efforts are intended to engage communities and address crime.

The TTPS said the collaboration reflects its approach to involving multiple groups in crime prevention. The initiative began in 2022 under a former Commissioner of Police.

Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro said the TTPS remains committed to working with groups to address crime. He called on organisations to participate in efforts to improve safety.

He said crime prevention requires participation from all sectors.

Among those attending the meeting were His Eminence Patriarch Wayne Jones, His Lordship Bishop Patrick Roberts and Apostolic Bishop Andre Francis.

The TTPS said it will continue to work with partners to support crime prevention activities and community engagement programmes.
