TTPS shells found at Arouca murder scene

Po­lice re­cov­ered five Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice spent shells at the scene of a mur­der in Arou­ca ear­ly Sat­ur­day.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, Min­ford Al­ick, of Jokhan Trace, Cara­po, was found dead at a gas sta­tion at the cor­ner of East­ern Main Road and Gold­en Grove Road.

Of­fi­cers of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice at­tached to the Arou­ca Po­lice Sta­tion were called to the scene around 1.38 am and ar­rived sev­en min­utes lat­er. Work­ers at a near­by fast-food restau­rant told of­fi­cers they heard gun­shots and lat­er dis­cov­ered the man’s body.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors re­cov­ered 28 spent 9mm shells at the scene, in­clud­ing 16 CBC Luger shells, sev­en WIN Luger shells and five 9mm TTPS shells.

Po­lice clas­si­fied the killing as gang-re­lat­ed.
