Police recovered five Trinidad and Tobago Police Service spent shells at the scene of a murder in Arouca early Saturday.
According to reports, Minford Alick, of Jokhan Trace, Carapo, was found dead at a gas station at the corner of Eastern Main Road and Golden Grove Road.
Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service attached to the Arouca Police Station were called to the scene around 1.38 am and arrived seven minutes later. Workers at a nearby fast-food restaurant told officers they heard gunshots and later discovered the man’s body.
Investigators recovered 28 spent 9mm shells at the scene, including 16 CBC Luger shells, seven WIN Luger shells and five 9mm TTPS shells.
Police classified the killing as gang-related.
