The Trinidad and Tobago Aggregate Producers Association (TTAPA) has extended condolences following the death of businessman and quarry operator Danny Guerra.

In a statement, the association said it extends condolences to the family, friends and associates of Guerra, who was ambushed and executed on Friday afternoon outside one of his businesses in Sangre Grande.

TTAPA said Guerra was involved in the quarrying and construction materials sector as an entrepreneur in aggregate production and housing construction.

According to the association, Guerra participated in the supply of materials used in national development projects, including the construction of roads, homes and other infrastructure across Trinidad and Tobago.

TTAPA said the aggregate sector forms part of economic activity and the built environment of the country.

The association noted that individuals in the industry contribute to the supply of raw materials used in construction, housing and public works projects throughout the country.

TTAPA said it acknowledges Guerra’s participation in the sector and the role of entrepreneurs and operators involved in the supply of construction materials.

President of TTAPA Nigel Tenia said the association recognises the role played by Guerra in the industry.

Tenia said the aggregate industry relies on the work of individuals and businesses operating within the sector.

“On behalf of TTAPA, we extend our condolences to the family and loved ones of Danny Guerra. The aggregate industry relies on the efforts of many individuals and businesses, and we recognize the role that Danny Guerra played in this sector, supporting national development,” Tenia said.

The association also extended sympathies to those affected by the death of Guerra.
