Tobago records first murder for 2026

To­ba­go has record­ed its first mur­der for 2026, with one sus­pect now in po­lice cus­tody fol­low­ing a killing in Sig­nal Hill last night.

The vic­tim has been iden­ti­fied as Ja­maille Fras­er, 25, of Cor­nal Rock Road, Sig­nal Hill, To­ba­go. Po­lice said Fras­er was un­em­ployed.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, at 10:34 pm, some­one found Fras­er ly­ing mo­tion­less on the ground at his home.

Po­lice were con­tact­ed. On ar­rival, they ob­served Fras­er ly­ing on the ground with what ap­peared to be gun­shot wounds to the head.

A dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer pro­nounced him dead just be­fore mid­night and or­dered the body re­moved to the Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal Mor­tu­ary for an au­top­sy.
