Four soldiers have been confined to Camp La Romain as enquiries continue into the robbery of two men at Building 12, Maloney Gardens, last Monday night.
Sources confirmed the soldiers have been identified as suspects in the incident, during which four masked men dressed in camouflage uniforms robbed two men of a total of $7,000 in cash.
Bystanders reported seeing the suspects enter what was described as a marked regiment vehicle bearing registration number 5TTR275, which was later seen driving onto the Churchill–Roosevelt Highway.
On Tuesday, sources confirmed four serving members of the Regiment were confined to barracks as investigations continued.
Police said a similar robbery was reported in Maloney one week before the latest incident.
Enquiries include a review of log books for vehicles in use at the time, which allowed investigators to narrow the list of suspects.
Officers attached to the Northern Division North CID Area South are continuing investigations.
