Savonetta Booster Station repairs to cause water outage in southwest

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty, WASA, will shut down sup­ply to parts of the Low­er South­west Penin­su­la from Sat­ur­day as it car­ries out emer­gency elec­tri­cal re­pairs at the Savonet­ta Boost­er Sta­tion.

In a re­lease is­sued to­day, WASA said the crit­i­cal re­pairs will be­gin on Feb­ru­ary 28 and end on March 2 by 6 pm.

Cus­tomers in sev­er­al dis­tricts may ex­pe­ri­ence low wa­ter pres­sure or no wa­ter ser­vice dur­ing the shut­down. The af­fect­ed ar­eas re­ceive sup­ply via the New South Oropouche, Thick Vil­lage and Point Fortin De­sal boost­ers.
