Rousillac man killed in highway crash near La Brea

A Rousil­lac man was killed af­ter his ve­hi­cle crashed in­to a ditch off the high­way near La Bea on Sat­ur­day.

He was iden­ti­fied as 63-year-old Bri­an Ab­erdeen of Boodoos­ingh Lane.

Po­lice said that around 7:40 p.m., Ab­erdeen was dri­ving a black Nis­san Wingroad in a souther­ly di­rec­tion along the Archibald De Leon High­way when he lost con­trol near the Vance Riv­er fly­over and col­lid­ed with a traf­fic sign.

The ve­hi­cle then flipped sev­er­al times be­fore land­ing 30 feet down in a ditch.

Ab­erdeen was found about 10 feet away from the ve­hi­cle, ly­ing in near­by bush­es. He was pro­nounced dead at the scene.

The wrecked ve­hi­cle was tak­en to the La Brea Po­lice Sta­tion.

Of­fi­cers of the La Brea Po­lice Sta­tion, the South West­ern Di­vi­sion Pa­trol Unit and the Point Fortin Fire Sta­tion vis­it­ed the scene.
