Reigning Champs Exodus to perform 9th in Panorama finals

Reign­ing cham­pi­ons Re­pub­lic Bank Ex­o­dus Steel­band will per­form ninth at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah when the Panora­ma Large Band Con­ven­tion­al fi­nals take place this Sat­ur­day.

Ex­o­dus goes in­to the com­pe­ti­tion with 278.5 points from the se­mi-fi­nals for their ren­di­tion of Cyah Be­have, which placed them sec­ond over­all.

BP Rene­gades Steel Or­ches­tra, who topped the se­mi-fi­nals with 281 points for The Lizard, will ap­pear ear­li­er in the pro­gramme, tak­ing the stage third.

The fi­nals will open with First Cit­i­zens Su­per­novas Steel Or­ches­tra in the num­ber one po­si­tion. Su­per­novas qual­i­fied with 271 points from the se­mi-fi­nals for Rum & Co­ca Co­la. They will be fol­lowed by Massy Trinidad All Stars Steel Or­ches­tra at num­ber two, af­ter earn­ing 278 points for The Will.

Af­ter BP Rene­gades, Pro­man Star­lift Steel Or­ches­tra per­forms fourth, com­ing in­to the fi­nals with 273 points for Last Train. Nu­trien Sil­ver Stars Steel Or­ches­tra is fifth, af­ter scor­ing 277 points with Re­spect­ful­ly Yours, while Phase II Pan Groove takes the sixth po­si­tion, qual­i­fy­ing with 277.5 points for Trou­ble.

T&TEC Trop­i­cal An­gel Harps Steel Or­ches­tra will per­form sev­enth, af­ter earn­ing 273 points for Last Train, fol­lowed by Des­per­a­does Steel Or­ches­tra at num­ber eight. Des­per­a­does ad­vanced with 277 points for We Ca­lyp­so.

Fol­low­ing Ex­o­dus in the ninth spot, Katzen­jam­mers Steel Or­ches­tra will per­form tenth. Katzen­jam­mers se­cured their place in the fi­nals with 271 points for Too Young To So­ca. Skif­fle Steel Or­ches­tra will close the com­pe­ti­tion in the eleventh po­si­tion. They scored 273 points in the se­mi-fi­nals for Cyah Be­have.
