Quashie, Seenath re-elected to lead ICATT

The In­sti­tute of Char­tered Ac­coun­tants of Trinidad and To­ba­go has ap­point­ed its Coun­cil for the 2026/27 term fol­low­ing its 56th An­nu­al Gen­er­al Meet­ing, held vir­tu­al­ly on March 26, 2026.

Nine­ty-eight mem­bers vot­ed elec­tron­i­cal­ly on res­o­lu­tions, in­clud­ing the elec­tion of five mem­bers to the 12-mem­ber Coun­cil af­ter five va­can­cies arose.

Res­o­lu­tions ap­proved at the meet­ing in­clud­ed adop­tion of the 2025/26 An­nu­al Re­port of Coun­cil, the fi­nan­cial state­ments for the year end­ed De­cem­ber 31, 2025, and the reap­point­ment of Aegis Busi­ness So­lu­tions as au­di­tors un­til the next AGM.

At the first Coun­cil meet­ing fol­low­ing the AGM, Pres­i­dent Maris­sa Quashie (Part­ner, As­sur­ance Ser­vices, EY Trinidad and To­ba­go), was re-elect­ed. Vice-Pres­i­dent Arun Seenath (Part­ner, Tax­a­tion, De­loitte), al­so was re-elect­ed.

Quashie said she will work with Coun­cil, CEO Mar­sha Ca­ballero and the Sec­re­tari­at dur­ing the new term.

Re-elect­ed Coun­cil mem­bers are Di­rec­tor Desmond Di­al, As­sur­ance, PwC Trinidad and To­ba­go, and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor Renée-Lisa Philip, PKF Lim­it­ed.

New­ly elect­ed mem­bers are Man­ag­er-in-Charge Shiv­anan De­op­er­sad, Tax­a­tion Di­vi­sion, NGC Group, and Raquel Nali­ni Surats­ingh.

Re­tir­ing from Coun­cil is Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor Di­nesh Bho­la, DSB Fi­nan­cial Ser­vices, af­ter nine years.

The Coun­cil for 2026/27 com­pris­es Pres­i­dent Maris­sa Quashie, Vice-Pres­i­dent Arun Seenath, Adri­enne D’Ar­cy, Renée-Lisa Philip, Christo­pher Ramjit, Ed­mund Phillips, Haseeb Mo­hammed, Desmond Di­al, Tanya Wright, Giles Le­ung, Shiv­anan De­op­er­sad and Nali­ni Surats­ingh.
